Exciting News!

Hello Everyone! I posted two chapters today because I am moving to a new computer! I haven't been able to switch over the chapters so I posted all my remaining ones today. Hope you like them!

Chapter 4

Chapter 4 Nighttime Sua drifted in the dark water, and watched as the reef started to glow softly. Tiny, grey rock-like corals she had previously ignored started to shine like jewels in the pitch black ocean. She smiled at the beauty of it all. She stopped smiling as a large, snaky black shadow swam overhead. “ohh nooo…” she swam uneasily towards some of the rocks. It had a lot of large holes, and she considered swimming inside one of them. Her stomach turned as she watched a gigantic figure crawl lazily out of one. Its jaws stretched wide, but it ignored her. She breathed a sigh of relief. Somehow, that inexplicably dangerous beast had decided against her demise. Carefully, she inched her way towards one of the holes. It was breathtaking, watching all the dark shapes in the water. {New skill learned: Stealth} She was silent, careful to stay as quiet as possible. While she was watching, she learned that many of these shadows were VERY high level. She sucked in a breath as one pass...

Chapter 3

Chapter 3 Reef Sua woke in an ocean of color. And a literal ocean. She could see the colorful fish dart between the rocks, gem-like corals sprouting like strange plants from the algae-covered rocks.  Above her swam the surface, with the sun’s golden light diffused by the waves. All around her, life practically buzzed. It took a while, but she figured out how to move. It felt odd, the sensation of water sliding past her face and body and also the movement required to go anywhere. It was slow, traveling as this creature. The fish swam around her with curious eyes, darting with impossible speed. They nipped at her head, and she raised her tentacles to stop them. She felt odd, like everything was so fast and time was sped up. Not by much, but enough to throw off her sense of time. The fish started to bite, chomping into her soft skin and ripping off chunks. Only about four were doing this, thankfully, but it still hurt. She felt frustrated, a little bit. Only five minutes ...

Jelly Life chapter 2

Chapter 2 The Woman Sua woke in a world of black. Everything around her was dyed a slick, oily black. Light streamed from somewhere, reflecting prismatic colors on her surroundings. When she looked up, there was no opening above or below her. Just endless void.  Eventually, she figured out that it was her that was glowing, casting soft golden light on the void. Everything glowed, every inch. Her clothes, her hair, even the inside of her eyes glowed. She couldn’t move at all, at least, not forward. she could only watch the swirls of the void. After a while, she noticed a strange sound. It sounded like water, but not the kind she was used to. It crashed over and over again, but softly, and it soothed her somehow. Sua had never known this, but loved it. Eventually, she began to see a small blue dot on the horizon. She felt happy, soothed by this strange crashing noise and drifting comfortably in the inky blackness. The glow of her eyelids stopped her from closing her eyes, ...

Jelly Life chapter 1

Chapter 1 Death at the enemy's hands Sua woke up to a beautiful sunny day in Valiento, her hometown. She leapt out of bed with excitement. Tomorrow would be her birthday, so today she would help with preparations. She opened her closet and grabbed a nice sundress to wear. Once dressed, she skipped downstairs, happy to see her family. “Sua, you’re up early!” her mother smiled as she set the table for breakfast. “yay! pwancakes!” her little brother was as loud and speech-impaired as usual. The pancakes were exciting though, and she ate them with relish.  Her father stumbled out of his room, tired and grumpy. “good morning, dear.” “uff.” he grunted grumpily and stabbed pancakes with a fork. After breakfast, he regained his decency, albeit with some syrup on his face. Her mother was busy with her little brother, Miho. “stay still Miho!” “NO WAN CWEAN!” “MIHO!” Her father turned to her with a request when it was mostly quiet. “sua, could you go and get some s...
